Corning Ware announcing new changes and the new Spice O’ Life pattern. Better Home and Gardens. June 1974. In 1972, Corning Ware made some changes to the original design and decided to add some new patterns alongside the iconic blue cornflower design. Although this ad ran in 1974, Spice O’ Life (also known as French Spice) was introduced in 1972 and if you grew up in the ‘70s and ‘80s, it’s pretty much a guarantee that someone in your family had this pattern. Spice O’ Life was in production until 1987 and is the second most sought after pattern among collectors. Personally, I own the very rare, but very ‘70s folk-art inspired Country Festival pattern.
